§ 25.1-9. Pool operator's permits.

When in use, each public or semi-public pool shall have a person in charge and on the premises who holds a valid operator's permit issued or accepted by the director. Operator's permits shall be issued only to individuals 16 years of age or older. A fee, in an amount prescribed by resolution of the board of county supervisors, shall be imposed for the issuance of an operator's permit, which permit shall be valid for the calendar year. The fee shall be paid to the director of finance. An applicant for an operator's permit shall demonstrate basic knowledge of the water treatment process in pools and be capable of performing tests necessary in operator said facilities. Presentation of a certificate from a swimming pool operator's training course acceptable to the director shall constitute demonstration of such knowledge. (Ord. No. 86-172, 11-18-86; Ord.
